Ruqyah

Ruqyah Shariah is the authentic islamic way for the healing of the bad things

Islamic Spiritual Healing & Mental Health Support

Ruqyah is an authentic Islamic form of spiritual healing based entirely on the Qur’an and Sunnah. It is a legitimate means of seeking protection, relief, and healing from spiritual harm, emotional distress, and mental health struggles, by the will of Allah.

At Ruqyah and Ajwah Center, we recognize that mental health, emotional stability, and spiritual well-being are deeply connected. While modern medicine explains many psychological conditions, Islam teaches that some illnesses may have spiritual roots that require proper Islamic ruqyah alongside patience, dua, and correct guidance.

We provide structured, Sunnah-based ruqyah services to patients worldwide through organized online sessions, allowing patients to receive proper Islamic treatment from the comfort and privacy of their homes.

What Is Ruqyah and Who Is It For?

Ruqyah is not limited to one condition or one type of illness. It is sought by patients who experience ongoing emotional, psychological, or spiritual difficulties that affect their thoughts, behavior, and daily life.

Ruqyah may be suitable for patients experiencing:

  • Anxiety, fear, panic, and constant inner restlessness
    • Depression, sadness, and emotional heaviness
    • Mental health struggles that do not improve with treatment
    • Family conflicts and relationship breakdowns
    • Delayed marriage or repeated relationship failure
    • Sudden personality or behavioral changes
    • Sleep disorders, nightmares, and night disturbances
    • Intrusive thoughts and emotional instability
    • Life stagnation and repeated blockages

Ruqyah is not superstition, imagination, or ritual. It is a legitimate Islamic treatment when performed correctly, responsibly, and in accordance with the Sunnah.

Conditions That May Require Ruqyah

In many cases, patients suffer from symptoms that are diagnosed as psychological or mental illnesses, while the underlying cause may involve spiritual harm.

Ruqyah may be required in cases involving:

  • Black Magic (Sihr), including long-term or hidden sihr
Evil Eye (Ayn) causing sudden decline in mental or emotional health
Hasad (Envy) leading to instability and repeated setbacks
    • Persistent anxiety without clear cause
    • Depression that does not respond to medication
    • Panic attacks and emotional breakdowns
    • Obsessive thoughts and intrusive whispers
    • Sudden aversion to Qur’an, worship, or remembrance of Allah
    • Constant mental exhaustion and emotional numbness

Mental Health, Schizophrenia, and Spiritual Affliction

Islam acknowledges mental illness while also affirming that Shaytan and jinn can influence human thoughts, emotions, and behavior.

Some patients are diagnosed with conditions such as:

  • Anxiety disorders
    • Depression
    • Panic disorder
    • Obsessive thoughts
Schizophrenia (psychosis, hearing voices, severe confusion, loss of reality)

Medical treatment is important and respected. However, not every case of schizophrenia or severe mental illness is purely medical.

In some situations, symptoms may overlap with jinn interference, possession, or long-standing sihr, especially when:

  • Symptoms appear suddenly without prior history
    • The condition worsens despite treatment
    • There is strong aversion to Qur’an or dhikr
    • Voices or fears increase during remembrance of Allah
    • The condition improves temporarily with ruqyah

In such cases, ruqyah does not replace medical care but becomes a necessary complementary Islamic treatment.

Ruqyah in the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ

Ruqyah is firmly established in the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and was practiced by him, approved by him, and even performed upon him.

Hadith on the Legitimacy of Ruqyah

Arabic:
قال ﷺ:
«اعرضوا عليّ رُقاكم، لا بأس بالرقى ما لم يكن فيه شرك»
رواه مسلم

Translation:
“Show me your ruqyah. There is no harm in ruqyah as long as it does not contain shirk.”
(Narrated by Muslim)

This hadith clearly proves that ruqyah is permissible when it is free from shirk and based on correct Islamic principles.

Jibreel Performing Ruqyah on the Prophet ﷺ

Arabic:
قال جبريل عليه السلام للنبي ﷺ:
«باسم الله أرقيك، من كل شيء يؤذيك، من شر كل نفس أو عين حاسد، الله يشفيك، باسم الله أرقيك»
رواه مسلم

Translation:
“In the Name of Allah, I perform ruqyah for you, from everything that harms you, from the evil of every soul and from the evil eye of an envier. May Allah cure you. In the Name of Allah, I perform ruqyah for you.”
(Narrated by Muslim)

If ruqyah was performed upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ himself, then it is a valid and established Sunnah for his ummah.
